The 2011 Dashlet Challenge
Alfresco Software is excited to announce the 2011 Dashlet Challenge.
This contest is open to all members of the Alfresco Community who think they have what it takes to create compelling add-ons for Alfresco Share.
The competition runs until Wednesday August 31, 2011 so there’s plenty of time to come up with something really cool. And if your entry stands out as the best of the best, you’ll be the proud owner of a new iPad 2. So what is YOUR dashboard missing? A world clock to tell tricky time zones apart? Real time info on what competitors are up to? Yammer integration? Video feeds?
Please note that we can only accept code which is compatible with Alfresco Enterprise or Community Editions 3.4, and which is made available under an open source license. Code contributions can be hosted anywhere that makes the most sense to you and your team--Alfresco Forge, SourceForge, Google Code, or GitHub--it is completely up to you.
On the judging panel are Jeff Potts (our Chief Community Officer), Will Abson (Alfresco Dashlet Champion and Senior Solutions Engineer) and Mike Vertal (Chairman of the Alfresco Community Committer Program and President and CEO of RivetLogic).
Remember to let the panel know where you post your code so that they can judge your entry!
They will pick a winner from all qualifying entries on the strength of business applicability, code quality, creativity and packaging. The winner will be announced on September 5 and will get their brand spanking new iPad just soon after.
The full competition terms and conditions can be found here.
