Doug Dennerline is the CEO of Alfresco.
Prior to Alfresco, Doug served as President of SuccessFactors, responsible for worldwide sales, professional services, marketing, customer success, solution consultants, and strategic consulting. Doug was also Executive Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Salesforce. Prior to Salesforce, Doug had several roles at Cisco, including heading the WebEx group as Senior Vice President of the Collaboration Software Group. Doug holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
CTO and Chairman
John Newton, CTO and Chairman, has had one of the longest and most influential careers in content management. In 1990, John co-founded, designed and led the development of Documentum®, the leader in content management acquired by EMC®.
For the next ten years, he invented many of the concepts widely used in the industry today. In addition, he built Documentum's marketing and professional services organizations in Europe. John has also been an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Benchmark Capital. John was one of the founding engineers at Ingres® where he helped develop the world's first commercial relational database. John graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
Paul St John
VP of Worldwide Sales
Paul St John is Alfresco’s vice president of worldwide sales. Paul is responsible for scaling worldwide growth including sales, alliances and channels.
Paul is a sales and operations executive with 15 years experience in national and international markets. Prior to Alfresco, Paul ran sales and operations for Riverbed in north-east Europe. Paul was also Regional Manager for EMC in the Nordics and East Europe and prior to that worked with EMC Software Group (Documentum) both in the US and Europe. Prior to tech, Paul was a lawyer for the State of Illinois. He holds a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D. from DePaul College of Law.
Chief Finance Officer
Carlton Baab is Alfresco's CFO and is responsible for Alfresco's worldwide finance, internal IT, accounting, HR and administrative operations.
Prior to joining Alfresco, Carlton was CFO of Lithium Technologies, a cloud-based Social CRM company providing branded communities for customer engagement, and before that, as President and CEO, where he managed the successful financial turnaround of TigerLogic Corporation. Carlton has experience as COO, CFO, and CIO of both public and private high growth companies, negotiating funding rounds, IPO experience and successful M & A transactions. Carlton holds an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Chief Marketing Officer
Marlene Williamson, Chief Marketing Officer, leads global marketing and demand generation for Alfresco.
Prior to joining Alfresco, Marlene was CMO of BigMachines, an enterprise SaaS solution, acquired by Oracle. Prior to this, Marlene served as vice president of global marketing for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies and held VP of marketing roles at Ericsson, Symantec, IBM, Polycom and Acer. Early in her career, she led global consumer marketing at Apple. Marlene has won numerous industry accolades including Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association, Partner of the Year by Yahoo, Innovator of the Year by Google, and Outstanding Female Executive in Silicon Valley by the YWCA. She holds an MBA from DePaul University.
Global Vice President of Customer Success
Andrea is Alfresco's Global Vice President of Customer Success, responsible for driving strategies and programs to ensure customers realize maximum value and success from Alfresco solutions.
As a customer experience veteran with nearly 25 years’ experience, Andrea has successfully led customer focused teams responsible for driving business growth, customer retention, and exceptional customer experiences. Prior to joining Alfresco, she was responsible for the Oracle RightNow and Oracle Taleo Cloud Service delivery organizations as Vice President of Cloud Support at Oracle. Prior to Oracle, Andrea held senior leadership positions in Customer Support, Services, and Operations for RightNow Technologies, NetScout Systems, Network General, and Remedy Corporation and is a frequent speaker at customer experience events.
Chief Product Officer
Dr Paul Holmes-Higgin is Chief Product Officer, with responsibility for managing Alfresco's product team and ensuring both innovation and quality are delivered in Alfresco's software.
Paul has over 20 years experience of managing teams in collaborative research and development, both in open source and proprietary software organizations, including IBM® and Documentum®. His focus has always been to realize advanced technology solutions to real world problems. His expertise covers Knowledge-based Expert Systems, Neural Networks, Information Extraction and Multilingual Natural Language Processing. Paul has been pivotal in a number of innovation start-ups, as well as having extensive experience of corporate production systems with Resumix® and Documentum®. Paul has PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Surrey.
Brian Remmington has responsibility for all aspects of the engineering and documentation teams at Alfresco.
Originally joining Alfresco in 2009 as Software Architect, Brian has been leading teams of software engineers to develop high-quality, enterprise-scale products since 1993. Prior to Alfresco he was Chief Architect at Mediasurface, another CMS vendor based in the UK, and he's been designing and leading the development of content management systems since 1997. With a diverse background in both product development and software consulting, Brian has deep, practical experience of a wide range of software development techniques and processes, and has a pragmatic approach to applying them to best effect.
Vice President of Worldwide Channels
Martin Musierowicz is Alfresco’s VP of Worldwide Channels. Martin is responsible for providing consistency globally in Alfresco's partner program and managing channel relationships.
Martin previously served as Alfresco’s Vice President of America's Sales and Vice President of Business Development. Martin has over 15 years of enterprise software and open source experience including positions with JBoss®, IBM®, Sequent® Computers and an advisory position at the Open Source Development Lab (OSDL). Prior to Alfresco, Martin was responsible for partner business development and marketing at JBoss, where he created the JBoss Certified Partner Program and grew the partner network from its infancy to well over 150 partners. At IBM, Martin was part of IBM's entry into Linux and managed open source solutions for the telecommunications vertical. Martin holds a B.S. in molecular biology and an M.B.A. with a concentration in technology management.
Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel
Paul Warenski is Alfresco's Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, responsible for all aspects of the company's worldwide legal operations.
Paul is a seasoned software executive with more than 20 years of legal experience. Paul most recently served as EVP and General Counsel at ServiceSource, which provides cloud applications and services for recurring-revenue management, where he led the company’s successful IPO. He also served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Intraware, a SaaS company that provided digital file delivery and entitlement management, and at Commerce One, an e-commerce software company, both of which were publicly traded. Earlier in his career, Paul practiced at the San Francisco law firm of Schachter, Kristoff, where he became a partner. He began his career working as a law clerk for a federal judge and as a senior legislative advisor to a United States congressman. Paul received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (with honors), and holds a Master's Degree from the London School of Economics. He also has BS degrees in economics, political science and philosophy from the University of Utah.
Chief People Officer
Ray Martinelli leads worldwide human resources at Alfresco. Ray brings a wealth of HR experience from over 20 years in management roles at industry-leading companies.
Ray was most recently Chief People Officer at ServiceSource, which provides cloud applications and services for recurring revenue management. During his tenure the organization grew from 150 employees to over 3,000 employees worldwide. Prior to that, he was SVP of Human Resources for Macromedia, and before that VP of Human Resources at Juniper Networks and Computer Curriculum Corporation. Ray was also a HR Director at Apple. Ray received his BA degree in Organizational Communications from Sacramento State University and a Masters in Organization Development from Golden Gate University.
Chief Community Officer
Jeff Potts, Chief Community Officer, has been a recognized and award-winning leader in the Alfresco community for several years. He comes to us with 18 years of content management and collaboration experience, most of that having come from senior leadership positions in consulting organizations. Most recently, Jeff served as the President of Metaversant Group, Inc., an Alfresco Recognized Gold Partner, and prior to that Jeff led the content management practice at Optaros, an open source consultancy.
Jeff has made many contributions to the Alfresco community since he started working with Alfresco in 2005. Examples range from code, to tutorials and informative blog posts, to code camps, meetups, and conference sessions. In 2008, Jeff wrote the Alfresco Developer Guide, the first developer-focused book on Alfresco. He has also been active in the Apache Chemistry project where he leads the development of cmislib, the Python API for CMIS. Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
