Alfresco Announces Keynote Speakers and Detailed Agenda for Paris Developer Conference

Founder of the Apache Foundation to Kick Off Two-Day Sessions in Paris on Content-Centric Application Development

LONDON – September 29, 2010 – Alfresco Software today announced that Brian Behlendorf, founder of the Apache Foundation, Luke Kowalski, vice president in Oracle's corporate architecture group and John Newton, co-founder of Alfresco, will keynote the company’s upcoming Developer Conference in Paris (October 20-21). The conferences are designed to offer a deep technical dive into both Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) and Alfresco’s open source ECM platform.

Headlining in the Paris conference, Behlendorf is an entrepreneur and consultant focused on the intersection of Open Source software communities and public policy. In 2009, Brian worked at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy on its Open Government Initiative, which involved using idea-ranking and collaborative authoring tools to set an agenda for Open Government. He is currently a director of CollabNet, the leader in Agile application lifecycle management (Agile ALM) in the cloud. He co-founded the company with O'Reilly & Associates in 1999. Previously, Behlendorf was a primary developer of the Apache Web server and a founding board member of what is now the Apache Software Foundation. Behlendorf has also served as a board member of the Mozilla Foundation since 2003.
