About the hosts
Before joining Forrester, Cheryl was founder and principal consultant of Candy Strategies, where she provided content management advisory services to both public- and private-sector clients. Cheryl has presented frequently at conferences, seminars, and webinars. She is a long-time member of industry associations AIIM and ARMA and has served on association conference and standards committees. She has been a regular blogger and guest contributor to online journals such as CMSWire, FierceContentManagement, Opensource.com, and KMWorld.
Dr. Flavio Villanustre is the Vice President of Technology Architecture and Product for LexisNexis and leads HPCC Systems. In this position, Flavio is responsible for Information and Physical Security, overall infrastructure strategy and new product development. Prior to 2001, Dr. Villanustre served in different companies in a variety of roles in infrastructure, information security and information technology. In addition, Dr. Villanustre has been involved with the open source community for over 15 years through multiple initiatives. Some of these include founding the first Linux User Group in Buenos Aires (BALUG) in 1994, releasing several pieces of software under different open source licenses, and evangelizing open source to different audiences through conferences, training and education. Prior to his technology career, Dr. Villanustre was a neurosurgeon.
Arjuna Chala is the Sr. Director of Technology for LexisNexis, HPCC Systems. Arjuna is primarily responsible for leading the development of the next generation of big data tools for the HPCC Systems Platform. Specifically, Arjuna is leading the effort in developing tools around exploratory data analysis, data streaming and business intelligence. In addition, Arjuna also is the primary technology liaison for the system integrators that partner with HPCC Systems. In this regard, a large part of Arjuna's focus is to spread the technology in international markets like China, Brazil, Europe and India.
