“In a period of outstanding business growth, during which Alfresco has added over 270 new enterprise customers, we would like to thank our exceptional community contributors and partner network,” commented John Powell, CEO, Alfresco Software. “These awards recognize the efforts of top partners and community members who work with Alfresco to continually deliver innovative business solutions for content management. We are pleased to honor those who have contributed to Alfresco’s success and extended Alfresco services and expertise to our customers.”
The Winners include:
Asia Pacific Partner of the Year – Lateral Minds
Lateral Minds, one of the first members of the Alfresco Systems Implementation and Training Partner network in Asia Pacific, implemented many successful Alfresco projects across a number of industry sectors in Australia and New Zealand in 2008. Lateral Minds has also contributed to Alfresco’s marketing efforts in Australia, and the Alfresco User Community, by hosting Alfresco Community Conferences and Meetups, featuring keynote presentations by Alfresco CEO, John Powell, and other industry experts.
According to Alex Lee, CEO of Lateral Minds: “Asia Pacific is a maturing market for the adoption of open source solutions. We have noticed in recent times a move towards the Enterprise adoption of open source. We believe this trend will accelerate in the next 12 months as the agility and cost effectiveness of open source systems, such as Alfresco, repeatedly deliver value above and beyond the traditional ECM solutions.”
European Partner of the Year – Sopra Group
Sopra Group’s relationship with Alfresco dates back to 2006. Since then, they have been involved in numerous Alfresco projects and formalized a partnership with Alfresco in 2008. In the first year of the partnership, Sopra Group has won prestigious customers with Alfresco, such as: Maif, Euromaster, Alcatel and Cofidis.
“We have been very pleased by the outcome of our first year of partnership with Sopra Group,” said Denis Dorval, VP EMEA, Alfresco Software. “The customers and projects they have secured are prestigious, and the commitment shown by Sopra Group on delivering high quality Alfresco projects has greatly impressed us."
North American Partner of the Year - Booz Allen Hamilton
Booz Allen Hamilton has been recognized in these awards for the firm’s significant contribution to the Alfresco roadmap, particularly with respect to their input and thought leadership on DoD5015.2 Records Management certification. Along with innovation and overall thought leadership around open source technologies including Alfresco, and proven by the company’s integration of multiple open source technologies into value-added solutions for customers.
International Training Partner - Componize
As the first designated Certified Alfresco Master Training Partner, Componize, has demonstrated its commitment not only to the growth of training within its own company and region, but also to the success of the Alfresco Training Department. Componize is also the architect of an innovative XML-based Component Content Management System featuring full Alfresco integration. Involvement in such supplementary projects, along with unsurpassed business growth, makes the company a clear choice for the International Training Partner award.
"We are delighted and honored to be named "Alfresco Training Partner of the Year". This year we will be celebrating our fourth year of fruitful collaboration with Alfresco. It is interesting to note that the success of our training courses is probably due to our primary activity as a software editor rather than a services company. As well as the years of hands-on experience integrating Alfresco, our instructors can also share their deep knowledge of Alfresco internals. For our clients and students, that's what makes the difference," commented Jean-Luc Borie, CEO, Componize Software.
International Contributor of the Year – Steve Reiner
Steve Reiner, founder and architect at Integrated Semantics, has many years of ECM industry experience. Steve has been an enthusiastic and consistent contributor to the Alfresco Community participating as an expert on the Alfresco Tech Talk Live series and demoing solutions at Alfresco Meetups. His contributions to the Alfresco forge include CMIS Spaces, FlexibleShare+AIR and FlexSpaces, a Flex-based RIA client for Alfresco that runs in browsers and in Adobe AIR. Steve's FlexSpaces forge project is currently the most downloaded project on the Alfresco forge.
