Alfresco Community 4.2 has arrived!

Building on the strong foundation of Alfresco 4, this new community release takes the UI a big step further with new features, dashlets and views. Here are 5 reasons you should download it now:

1. The Beautiful New Rich Media Gallery View
   Display files - such as images, and even documents - in a dynamic Gallery View, with a slider to scale the thumbnails, drag-and-drop upload and multi-file select.  Finding, sorting and even reorganizing files has never been faster or more visual.  Under the hood, we've also made it a lot easier to add your own Document Library views.
2. Useful New Dashlets Keep Relevant Content in View
   New and improved dashlets include Saved Search, Site Search, My Discussions, My Tasks and Image Preview, making the Alfresco dashboard even more of a one-stop-shop for content that is relevant to you.
3. New, Improved, and Totally Slick Google Docs Integration
   Create Google Docs or edit documents in Google Docs, in a new seamless and integrated way.  Now, you can use Alfresco as a true system of record for Google Docs.
4. It's your own 'Dropbox for the Enterprise', with Desktop Sync
   Not only do we have a new Community release - we also have a new Desktop Sync client, that works with Alfresco Community 4.2... or Alfresco Enterprise or Alfresco in the cloud.  Set-up your own Dropbox-like service for your company now, using Alfresco and Alfresco Desktop Sync.
5. Multi-file Download as Zip and Quick Share
   Users can click "share" and share a file preview with an automatically generated shortened link, or select multiple files and download them as a single zipped package.
