The focus of Alfresco has always been to deliver the industry leading Open Source Enterprise Content Management Suite. Alfresco 2.0 is a major step in bringing these two requirements together making it simple to create, access and search a shared application space for:

Search

To offer departmental simplicity it is important to be able to simply search across multiple repositories in a loosely-coupled, federated way. Alfresco now enables this through the OpenSearch standard. The new functionality offered includes:

  • AutoDiscovery- Firefox 2 and IE7 support to AutoDiscover Alfresco as an OpenSearch repository
  • Simple Browser Search – Drop down Alfresco repository search
  • Full Page and Content Support – HTML, RSS and ATOM support

The Alfresco Web Client offers:

Alfresco Application Exchange

Alfresco 2.0 offers the Alfresco Module Package (AMP). AMP-enabled applications can be simply packaged and shared within an organization or event between organizations. AMP functionality includes:
