… and ask your WCM vendor a few important questions

Over 1500 members of the open source community, customers and partners used the Alfresco WCM preview release.  The open source community process enabled alfresco.com to go live on day one of the production release – can your vendor say the same?

“Our business is dependent on our website and our website is dependent on our own WCM software. This is not common with many ECM vendors. Now there is a true open source alternative for enterprise class WCM.  Leading customers in the computer games, retail, and educational markets, with some of the most exciting and exacting WCM requirements, have already selected Alfresco.”

John Newton, CTO & Co-Founder, Alfresco.

Alfresco invites you to participate in the WCM Challenge and as your ask ECM or WCM vendor a few important questions:

  • Do you use your own WCM product for your corporate website(s)?
  • Do you use the latest version of your WCM product on your corporate website(s)?
  • How long does it take to go from First Customer Ship to the new WCM product being used for your corporate website(s)?
  • Is your WCM platform integrated into the document management and collaboration platform that the marketing team is using?
  • Can I leverage and easily migrate content from existing sites, files servers and enterprise applications?
  • Can you support my web site compliance requirements such as site archival and rollback?
  • Can you support the dynamic site features of Web 2.0 that I need for my next generation corporate website?
  • Do you support an integrated environment for managing and releasing a Web 2.0 style site including support for both code and content?
  • Are you standards-based and do you support JSR-170? Can you scale to meet my requirements and have you run JSR-170 benchmarks?
  • What is the upfront license fee associated with a WCM project? Can I use your product for free until I need support?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, contact us to find out how Alfresco can assist your organization to meet the WCM Challenge.
