Alfresco 4.Ready – 10 days minimum

  • Review and report on the status of the non-production environment as a proper replica of production
  • Write Alfresco 4.0 upgrade plan complete with schedule of events for the non-production environments
  • Assist customer's internal team with upgrade of non-production environment.
  • Regression test the upgrade and document all findings and recommendations
  • Work with customer to understand issues from non-prod upgrade
  • Assist in writing formal upgrade plan with schedule of events for production upgrade
  • Assist customer in basic business readiness exercise and expertise to ensure end-user buy-in and smooth upgrade path for their business.
  • Provide demos of new core functionality to customer's internal team so they can leverage the full benefits of 4.0 post upgrade.
  • Out of scope: Upgrade of custom code and data migration from Lucene to SOLR
  • In scope: Upgrade of standard subsystems configuration (e.g. auth, and alfresco-global.properties)

Upgrade – 5 days minimum

  • Upgrade an existing Alfresco installation
  • Less than 1 million node Repository
  • Upgrade Test Environment
  • Regression test upgrade of test environment
  • Regression test the upgrade and document all findings and recommendations
  • Work with customer to understand issues from non-prod upgrade
  • Assist in writing formal upgrade plan with schedule of events for production upgrade
  • Assist customer in basic business readiness exercise and expertise to ensure end-user buy-in and smooth upgrade path for their business.
  • Out of scope: Upgrade of custom code and migration from Lucene to SOLR
  • In scope: Upgrade of standard subsystems configuration (e.g. auth, and alfresco-global.properties)

Community Migration - 3 days (+ 1 day per additional cluster node)

  • Review and report on the status of the non-production environment as a proper replica of production
  • Migrate customer’s non-production environment from Community to Alfresco Enterprise 4.x version.
  • Regression test the upgrade and document all findings and recommendations
  • Work with customer to understand issues from non-prod upgrade
  • Assist in writing formal upgrade plan with schedule of events for production upgrade
  • Out of scope: Migration of custom developed code
  • In scope: Recommendations on how to best migrate custom code to Enterprise

Application or Plug-In Review – 5 Days minimum

  • Assist decisions to architect custom application according to best practice
  • Validation of custom code and development environment
  • Recommendations for improvements and best practices to increase performance, scalability and maintain upgradeability with later releases and the Alfresco strategic roadmap.

Web Content Services – 10 days minimum

  • Provide demos of new core functionality to customer's internal team so they can leverage the full benefits of Alfresco 4.x after upgrade.
  • Review and report on the status, use cases, and any custom applications or integrations of the Alfresco platform.
  • Recommendations and options appraisal to move from the Alfresco WCM product to Alfresco WQS, Crafter (an Alfresco plug-in) or other web services product.
  • Assist in decisions to re-architect any custom application according to best practice
  • Validation of any custom code and development environment
  • Recommendations for improvements and best practices to increase performance, scalability and maintain upgradeability with later releases and the Alfresco strategic roadmap.
