Alfresco Professional Services have been involved in hundreds of ECM deployments, and there is no better way to mitigate your project’s technology risks than to have these experts working alongside your team.
What Packages are Offered?
Alfresco offers the following Professional Services packages:
System Architecture Review
This package reviews the implementation requirements and system architecture to ensure fit-for-purpose, validity, and compliance with Alfresco supported stacks.
Deliverables:
- Two online meetings: Kickoff interview & a deliverable review
- One system architecture review document
System Architecture Design
This involves a review of the requirements and design of the system architecture for an Alfresco Enterprise implementation.
Deliverables:
- One week of on-site consulting including: Kickoff meeting & a discovery session to ascertain functional (business) and non-functional (operational, SOE, SLA) requirements
- One system architecture document, based on official Alfresco templates
Repository Upgrade
This package will upgrade an existing Alfresco repository (i.e. content and configuration, but not code customizations) to a newer version of Alfresco, based on the supported upgrade paths. Note: limited to repositories of 1 million nodes or less.
Deliverables: Upgraded Alfresco repository, including updated custom configuration (if any).
Performance and Configuration Tuning Package
This package comprises a review of the implementation requirements and System Architecture to ensure fit-for-purpose, validity, and compliance with Alfresco supported stacks. The next step is to tune the Alfresco configuration and make recommendations for tuning 3rd party components and systems.
Deliverables: The consulting engagement will result in two deliverables: a tuned Alfresco instance; and, an assessment document, detailing the Alfresco tuning that was performed as well as recommendations (if indicated) for tuning 3rd party (non-Alfresco) components of the environment.
Go-live Readiness Assessment
This involves an audit of the Alfresco installation to make sure it is ready to go-live and that the appropriate plan for go-live is in place.
Deliverables:
- Two online meetings: Kickoff Interview & Deliverable Review
- Go-Live Readiness Assessment Document
Time and Materials Consulting
In addition to the packages listed above, Alfresco Professional Services also offer time and materials consulting. This may be used for engagements with scopes outside those of the packages or for open-ended engagements where the scope is not clearly defined up front.

In order to get the most from your subscription, you will need to invest in Alfresco Training and you may also wish to consider purchasing a TAM for larger deployments.
