Yesterday, we were delighted to host a webinar on the topic of Information Governance, which is very much top-of-mind for today's business leaders. Relevant to people outside of just the IT organization, our Information Governance experts, Alan Pelz-Sharpe and George Parapadakis expressed how crucial it is to set up a sound foundation for corporate governance now--letting automation make way for invisible corporate governance. I loved some of the powerful sentiments expressed in yesterday's session, which portray just how on-the-ball companies need to be on this topic to really succeed in their overall business and digital transformation goals.

Alan Pelz-Sharpe, Business analyst and board member of the Information Coalition said "Forty years have told us that people will not govern manually. Instead, use governance as a means to build a self governing platform."

Alan then illustrated some very complex graphical diagrams that companies currently use to tackle information governance and juxtaposed it by showing that there's a better way. Alfresco's Director of Business Solutions Strategy, George Parapadakis then chimed in with helpful ways companies can tackle process automation when thinking about corporate governance and how Alfresco's solutions tie into that.

We also loved the practical use cases mentioned by Alfresco Marketing Director, Anthony Jones, as he went through the examples of how prominent brands such as Liberty Mutual and the Department of the Navy have used Alfresco to take control of their data protection and compliance.

We invite you to explore the Overcoming Information Governance Inertia webinar first-hand and to further dig into more insights on how to take control of your corporate governance in the IT Strategist's Guide to Transforming ECM.
