Bernadette Nixon, Alfresco’s CEO, leads the company’s strategy for growth, customer commitment and culture. Bernadette is an experienced global leader with a proven track record of growing some of the leading companies in the market and has a wealth of experience in the process and content management industry.
Before joining Alfresco, Bernadette served as President of SDL PLC., a global software and professional services company, after having grown its sales team as chief revenue officer. Prior to SDL, she held positions at OpenText, a leading ECM company, as General Manager and Senior Vice President of its BPM Business Unit & Corporate Sales. She was EVP of Sales for the Americas at Metastorm, and served in similar roles at CA Technologies, InterQuad and NCR. Bernadette also held the position of Deputy CIO for the United Nations in Geneva. Bernadette received a BA in Business Studies in Marketing from the University of Hertfordshire.
John Newton, CTO and Founder, has had one of the longest and most influential careers in content management. In 1990, John co-founded, designed and led the development of Documentum®, the leader in content management acquired by EMC®.
For the next ten years, he invented many of the concepts widely used in the industry today. In addition, he built Documentum's marketing and professional services organizations in Europe. John has also been an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Benchmark Capital. John was one of the founding engineers at Ingres® where he helped develop the world's first commercial relational database. John graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
Steve Buonaiuto is Alfresco’s CFO driving the company’s growth and supporting all strategic and operational initiatives across the global business. With more than 30 years of executive management experience, Steve leads corporate financial strategy, accounting and IT.
Prior to joining Alfresco, Steve was CFO of Digital Guardian, a late-stage venture company, where he brought rigor and process to the company’s financial systems. Before Digital Guardian, Steve served as CFO and Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Sparta Systems, where he managed the company through a successful exit.
Steve holds a Masters from Bentley University - McCallum Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Bryant University.
Heather Guntrum, Alfresco’s Customer Success Officer owns the post-sale experience for all customers, enabling their competitive advantage and success using Alfresco solutions. Over her career, Guntrum has held positions that complement Alfresco’s corporate goals, including strategy and execution for customer experience management, channel program growth, global technical support, and post-sale services delivery.
Prior to joining Alfresco, Guntrum served as both vice president of customer success and vice president of global partnerships at SDL. Earlier in her career, as vice president of customer experience at Teradata and vice president of customer services at Aprimo, she evolved processes, teams and premium services offerings to improve the customer journey and overall customer value.
Jennifer, an international marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience in global technology companies, leads all aspects of marketing and cultural initiatives at Alfresco that benefit both internal and external communities. She is passionate about discovering the possibilities technology can offer, and about building communities of like-minded people who can share stories, be inspired and learn from each other.
Prior to joining Alfresco, Smith was CMO of Software AG, an enterprise software company with more than 10,000 customers in over 70 countries. Prior to that she served as the CMO of Globoforce, and as Senior Vice President and CMO of Avid Technology and Progress Software. She also held senior marketing roles at Information Builders, PeopleSoft and Microsoft.
Bob Pritchard joined the company in 2016, bringing over 25 years of experience in software, technology and services sales and leadership. He has a successful history of working with customers to increase efficiencies through process re-engineering and automation in a variety of industries, including finance, retail, professional services, health care, manufacturing and logistics.
Prior to joining Alfresco, Pritchard launched Redwood Software’s Robotic Process Automation offering “RoboFinance” in North America. He also served as Vice President of OpenText’s BPM Market Unit for the Americas and was co-founder of TIOVA, a pioneering Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider to professional services organizations. He graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.
Kamil Chaudhary joined Alfresco in September 2014 and oversees all the company’s legal affairs worldwide, including corporate, commercial, regulatory, intellectual property, ethics/compliance and litigation.
Prior to joining Alfresco, he served as Corporate Counsel to Quinstreet, Inc., a performance-based advertising and marketing company. He was also an associate at Goodwin Procter and Gunderson Dettmer, working in their technology practices. Chaudhary holds a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
