TOKYO, April 18, 2012 — Alfresco Software, Ltd., the leading open source company for enterprise content management, announced today that it has established a new presence in Japan with the opening of an office in the Chiyoda-ku district in Tokyo.
Mr. Hiroshi Nakajima will head up operations for Alfresco Software Japan, K.K. and will be responsible for the company’s expansion in the region. Following the opening of offices in Sydney and Mumbai, Alfresco Japan will help drive the company’s growth plans in Asia, and will enable businesses in the region to collaborate on and control their digital assets more quickly and easily than before.
The company recently launched Alfresco Enterprise 4, the next generation platform that delivers a new approach to content management for social communication, across mobile devices and in the cloud.
Mr. Powell, President and CEO at Alfresco said "We are honoured to have Nakajima-san at the helm of our Japanese operations. He has vast experience of enterprise content management locally, and has achieved great success in this field."
Mr Nakajima will be responsible for structuring Alfresco Japan's technical and customer support services as well as developing the brand, partner network and Enterprise business. Prior to Alfresco, Mr Nakajima was responsible for enterprise software sales at SAP Japan, FileNet Japan and IBM Japan. He has over 12 years’ experience in content management and business process management and holds a BA degree in Economics from Keio University.
