A North Carolina Life Sciences Manufacturing Plant was looking for a way to innovate and improve their Quality Systems while reducing the total cost of ownership and risk. The customer had a dated Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that relied on terminal screens, printed forms with handwritten notes, and manual data entry upon batch completion. The eventual solution included a simplified LIMS system that leveraged Word documents allowing data to be captured real-time without the need for any paper. The digital approach allows for intuitive documents that can be easily changed and updated with a compliant 21 CFR 11 approval process without the need for any IT updates.
This webinar will present and demonstrate how, beginning in 2011 with implementation of Alfresco, the client was able to implement their LIMS system as well as controlled documents at a cost- effective pace. The webinar will present both a case study as well as a live demonstration of the software that is currently available for other Alfresco clients at no additional charge.
