Alfresco Makes Records Management Easy
Industry’s only DOD-certified, open-source RM solution integrates and automates compliance

In an October, 2012 survey by Forrester Research, Inc.* 40 percent of technology and strategy decision-makers admitted that using RM technology to improve compliance remains a pressing issue. To address this concern Alfresco One 4.2 seamlessly integrates records management into organization’s existing content lifecycles, making sure information remains accurately compliant and automatically protected.

Alfresco now enables users to declare records ‘in-place’ without the need to move a file to another site or remove it from content workflows. Placement of records into specific file plans can be automated, reducing the need for business users to navigate complex classification structures. For records managers, Alfresco is introducing new features to auto-create file plans based on pre-configured business rules. This allows for dynamic folders that can be automatically created, allowing the file plan to adapt with the business over time throughout the content lifecycle.
Using a single platform, Alfresco allows users to put any kind of digital file under management, including social media, collaborative content and multimedia files. Alfresco’s first-of-its-kind hybrid enterprise content management (ECM) facilitates collaboration across the extended enterprise, while simultaneously ensuring the proper controls and compliance.
