Alfresco Software Appoints Sydney Sloan as Chief Marketing Officer
Leading ECM Vendor Brings on Global Marketing Leader to Drive Rapid Business Growth
SAN MATEO, CA and MAIDENHEAD, UK – November 12, 2014: Rapidly-growing, Enterprise Content Management (ECM) vendor Alfresco Software has appointed Sydney Sloan as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Sloan brings with her a wealth of experience delivering customer, product, partner and industry marketing for industry leading companies including Adobe Systems and Jive Software. She joins Alfresco at a critical time in the company’s growth – growing triple the pace of the ECM market overall1 and as well as announcing a $45 million funding round.
Sloan joins Alfresco from Jive Software where she was the head of Customer Experience. While at Jive, she helped to drive customer retention and growth programs which resulted in increased renewal rates for the company through integrated customer communications and marketing programs. She introduced a customer value engineering team to develop financial justification models and metrics to enable customers to quantify the value of their investments. Prior to joining Jive, Sydney Sloan spent nine years at Adobe Systems running enterprise product marketing and industry solutions marketing as well as contributing to Adobe’s Open Source initiative.
