Alfresco Software Appoints Todd Barr as Chief Marketing Officer
Former Red Hat Marketing Leader Adds Open Source Marketing & Community Expertise to Alfresco’s World-Class Team
LONDON—September 15, 2010 — Alfresco Software, the leader in open source enterprise content management (ECM), today announced the appointment of Todd Barr as the company’s new chief marketing officer. With more than 15 years of experience across enterprise software, SaaS and commercial open source technology businesses, Todd now leads Alfresco’s global marketing operations as the company looks to build on the success of a record financial year and broaden the reach of its open source content platform.

Todd brings significant experience working in the commercial open source technology industry, from managing customer programs at Red Hat to driving brand and marketing initiatives in fast-paced start-up environments. Most recently, Todd served as vice president of marketing at Bandwidth.com and Phonebooth.com, where he brought a fresh perspective to marketing by engaging customers through online tools and social media, and was instrumental in launching Phonebooth Free – the first free hosted phone system for small businesses. Prior to that, Todd led business development and corporate strategy at FiveRuns, helping to establish the startup as an open source leader in the growing Ruby on Rails market. Before FiveRuns, Todd worked at Red Hat for six years, where he lead a 30-member customer marketing team responsible for lead generation, direct and channel marketing, strategic partner marketing and ISV partner acquisition.
